Skip the Store Selection of Cufflinks

Hattip to Gear Patrol:

I like the advice of Gear Patrol, “skip the department store brands and go for a brand like Zachary Prell.” My thoughts exactly. Department stores offer hundreds of cufflinks that look exactly the same, and you can be sure that you will offer nothing unique when you wear them. Cufflinks are meant to bring out your personality and style. Of course, if you have no personality or style, then maybe department store links will do fine . . .

Seriously, bring some life to the party with these Zachery Prell designer cufflinks:

The use of mother-of-pearl and cat’s eye stones into the cufflink designs is stunning. The light reflects off of the stones, creating a noticeable impression of style and flair.

Skip the boring cufflinks - get some style!

Gold cufflinks

Beautiful recycled 18K gold with Blue Lapis stones hand-selected by Susanne. These make a very strong statement and very nice departure from the typical cufflinks sold at many retailers today.

These cufflinks are available exclusively at Barneys New York and retail for $975. With each sale, a donation is made to the WWF.

Unique Cufflinks - great selection

cufflinks on etsy
Over 39 pages of cufflinks on Etsy.com - that’s over 500 cufflinks! Etsy is one of the internet’s largest classifieds websites, second only to CraigsList. What makes Etsy so unique is that everything on the site is hand-made crafts. Don’t let that distract you, however, there are some very high-quality cufflinks at fantastic prices.

I’m usually one to select something unique more than valuable. Iomething that will grab attention and maybe a laugh is more of a find for me than an $800 pair of gold cufflinks that are plain or even (gasp) boring. I can guarantee that you’ll find more than one pair of links that’ll catch your eye.

The preppy Lilly Pulitzer label, which relaunched its menswear line this year after a 24-year hiatus, is selling $295 cashmere V-neck men’s sweaters. And French luxury house Lanvin sells silk pajama shirts and silk scarves to supplement its more classic line of suits.

From the article:

The labels say it makes business sense to target men now. In the 12 months ended Oct. 31, U.S. sales of men’s apparel rose 2.6% to $56.3 billion — faster than the 1.9% growth to $103.5 billion in the women’s apparel market, according to market researcher NPD Group.

Men are also doing more of their own clothing shopping. Last year, 75% of men bought most of their own clothes, compared with 52% in 1995, according to Marshal Cohen, NPD’s chief industry analyst.
